About Care & Harmony
Care & Harmony Group Home provides structured, family-like care for children ages 5–12 who require stability, emotional support, and a calm environment. We are currently in the licensing process with Children's Services and preparing to serve children who need a supportive place to grow.

Who We Are
Care & Harmony Group Home is a family-operated program dedicated to creating a safe, structured, and supportive home-like environment for children ages 5–12. We focus on emotional safety, predictable routines, and respectful communication so children feel valued and secure.

Our Role
We collaborate with DFNAs, caseworkers, families, and professionals to support each child's unique needs and ensure consistent communication and compliance with provincial standards.

Our Program Model outlines how we structure daily care, supervision, routines, and emotional support for children ages 5–12.

Daily Routines

Emotional Support
We help children regulate emotions and build confidence through:
  • supportive communication
  • calm tone and clear expectations
  • positive direction
  • ongoing encouragement
  • collaboration with specialists when required
Cultural Inclusion
Care & Harmony supports each child's cultural identity in alignment with their case plan. We ensure:
  • inclusive language
  • respect for each child's background
  • openness to family-approved cultural activities
  • coordination with caseworkers on cultural needs
Nature-Based Activities
We provide simple, age-appropriate outdoor experiences, including:
  • walking
  • outdoor play
  • exploring nature
  • hands-on learning
These activities are recreational and developmental.
Staffing
We hire trained caregivers and welcome Indigenous staff applicants to support representation, relational safety, and cultural inclusion.
Case Plan Collaboration
We work closely with DFNAs, caseworkers, and families by:
  • following case plans
  • documenting required updates
  • supporting family contact arrangements
  • communicating in a timely manner
